Apple has today announced the launch of the much-hyped device, the iPad, at a mega event in San Francisco.The device looks like an over-sized iPhone, with state-of-the-art features. Just like the iPhone, it has a home button, an aluminum bezel like a MacBook, and a glass screen.

Hardware:

Processor: The iPad is powered by Apple's own A4 chip, the PA Semi chip.

Connectivity: The device has 802.11n WI-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1.

Battery: The battery life of the iPad is massive 10 hours

Storage: Two models: 16Gb -64GB of storage capacity.

Misc: Accelerometer & compass

Speaker microphone, 30-pin connector.
